The silicone insert of the LEKKABOX Duo, which is placed in the lid, adds some extra weight. However, it makes the box leak-proof.
You can also carry the lunch box without it if you are carrying food that cannot spill.
So you have a choice: leak-proof and a little heavier – perfect for small meals at the office or school. Or you can choose a lighter version and pack a sandwich, tortilla, and a few small snacks.
Despite the silicone seal, caution is recommended with very liquid or juicy foods such as watermelon or yogurt! In such cases, it is recommended to use a separate food container with a screw cap to prevent leakage.
